The Great Gatsby (NES version), and Dalek Cupcakes

16 02 2011

Oh yes.  Thank you, dear interwebs, for bringing this into my life:

If you liked classic NES and loved/hated the classic Fitzgerald tale, this game is worth a run-through.  You get 100 points for snatching a martini!  100 Points, people.  All I ever got was a loathesome bar-tab, smeared make-up and a head full of shamey memories.

In other news, the dog rescue I volunteer for (yes, I volunteer, though I doubt it will keep me from saving ya’ll a seat at the bar in hell) is having a cupcake fundraiser, with the grand prize being cupcakes!  Yes, cupcakes!  Here is my favorite:

Yep.  That’s a Dalek cupcake, kids.  Between the Dr. Who reference and a Great Gatsby video game, my nerd status must be sky-fucking-high.  If you’d like to buy a raffle ticket for these awesome cupcakes and help save doggies, here’s the link:  http://ratbonerescues.com/rbr_sweet_tooth.php

100 points for a martini! What do you get for a gin and tonic? I feel like I’d be a mother fucking champion if I got points for that. :D

Btw – What is a Dalek?

My Dr. Who fans out there will gasp in horror and shock at your ignorance, but they might be taking the show a mite too seriously.
